Step-by-Step Process for CFIs to Join Airman Flight Hours
1. Initial Contact:
Start by giving us a call to express your interest in joining Airman Flight Hours.
2. Registration and Document Upload:
• Register on our Flight Schedule Pro application.
• Upload all required documents, including certifications and licenses.
• Secure CFI insurance as part of the onboarding process.
3. Checkout Flight:
Complete a short checkout flight for insurance purposes to ensure safety compliance.
4. Student Registration:
• When you bring your students, introduce them to Airman Flight Hours.
• Help them register on Flight Schedule Pro and upload their documents.
• Ensure students maintain a minimum account balance of $500 before scheduling flights.
5. Prepayment for Flights:
• Students must pay in advance for their flights to cover the rental rate .
• After flights, students can withdraw any unused balance if desired.
6. Instructor’s Responsibilities:
• Manage your syllabus, teaching methods, and training schedules.
• Coordinate checkrides and work directly with DPEs.
• Charge your students directly for instructional services.
7. Airman Flight Hours’ Responsibilities:
• Provide safe, well-maintained aircraft with all necessary maintenance and compliance records.
• Handle 100-hour inspections, maintenance scheduling, and ensure reminders are available in Flight Schedule Pro.
• Offer access to aircraft logbooks upon request, with at least 1-2 days’ prior notice to dispatch.
